2012 racing season coming to a close

IZOD IndyCar wraps up this weekend with MAVTV 500 in Fontana, California and our local NASCAR Canadian Tire Series has two more races left: Wilson Equipment 300 September 15 and Pinty's 230 presented by Dodge September 22. After that we have our memories and looking forward to the start of the 2013 season including the 2013 Honda Indy Toronto.

Will Power rides through the Honda Indy pits

Two drivers who have won the open wheel Honda Indy Toronto race, Will Power and Ryan Hunter-Reay, are sitting one-two in the standings heading into the final race on September 15 while Dario Franchitti, pictured at top in Toronto, is in 9th place. In our local track stock car series the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series drivers DJ Kennington and Andrew Ranger are currently in the top positions heading into a race in Nova Scotia and back into Ontario with the September 22 race at the Kawartha Speedway.
