#SWEETLIFE and the Golden Age of Italian Film

The white arches of Brookfield Place in #Toronto are home to Marcello Mastroianni and sex symbols Sophia Loren and Gina Lollobrigida - as they were during the 1950's. The photo and poster collection titled "The Sweet Life - A Celebration of the Golden Age of Italian Film" was conceived by Joyce Acciaioli Rudge and shows famous Italian actors and directors during the golden age of Italian cinema as they were captured for LIFE magazine.
Sophia brings some major points to the game in the Sophia or Gina battle
"A collection of photographs featuring Italian actors and directors who appeared on the pages of LIFE during the 1950’s, the “golden age” of Italian cinema. The actors-Loren, Mastroianni, Lollabrigida, Masina, and the directors-Rossellini, DeSica, Fellini, Antonioni, were as famous for their amazing talents as they were for their colorful private lives. LIFE Magazine captured all of these stars in various stages of celebrity and in some cases, scandal."
