Yonge-Dundas Square was packed with people celebrating India Day in #Toronto on Saturday August 11, 2012. At noon there was also a 2km parade planned down Yonge Street. I loved the cool Indian costumes that many people wore to the square.
The early start had a flag raising ceremony and remarks from the Consul General and other dignitaries. Indian food was available for purchase and entertainment filled the stage with dancing and singing which continues until 8pm.
