Rope for Hope at City Hall

At first I thought it was #Toronto Mayor Rob Ford getting away from the Star newspaper, but no, the speck climbing down the Bay Street side of City Hall was a Rope for Hope participant. My second guess was Batman and my third guess was Resident Evil's Milla Jovovich. The Make A Wish Foundation was hosting an event to raise money for wish granting for children with life-threatening medical conditions. They hope to raise $100,00 during the event and the international foundation has helped more than 290,000 children since 1980.
Brave people, including Firefighter Shaun from York Fire Services, rappelled down 30-stories of the east building of City Hall during the first annual event held on June 19, 2012.
"We are thrilled to see corporate teams and local supporters rallying together to take part in year one of this exclusive event," said Sheila Rees, Regional Director Toronto and Central Ontario, Make-A-Wish. "The level of wish family participation in Rope for Hope also reiterates the significant impact that the wish experience had on them as well." See more after the jump.
